A Better Career Connection

SynED’s re-imagined career event focuses wholly on connecting applicants to employers and cultivating the best opportunity for a successful hire. Employers meet qualified applicants and reduce time to hire. Applicants refine their resumes and personal pitches to align with the skills and abilities employers need. Intentional planning and preparation create an interview forum that can be customized to the host program’s goals.

Identify Employer Participants

Establish participation requirements for each employer. Every participating employer brings specific, relevant job openings and sends a representative with authority to make hiring-related decisions.

Establish Job Opening Profiles

Employers translate their requirements into recognized hard- and soft-skill standards so candidates can be aligned effectively with open positions.

Identify Qualified Applicants

Potential candidates are evaluated against employer-provided industry skill standards and the desired soft-skill measurements.

Applicant Workshop and Job Interview Forum

Selected applicants receive focused coaching on interviewing, elevator pitches, resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and professional networking. Interview appointments are scheduled during the workshop.

The forum then concentrates exclusively on the candidate-employer connection. Interviews may be in person or virtual, but each is conducted by a hiring manager or equivalent decision-maker.

Exit interviews on the event day capture both parties’ experience. Continued follow-up establishes outcome data and supports continual improvement.

Engagement Duration & Cost

Building productive relationships with employers and applicant providers requires focused preparation. A complete engagement—from preparation through post-event follow-up—typically runs four to six months. Each event is quoted after a scope-and-scale review.
