Rapid Reverse Design Planning
Bring out a group’s best thinking and energy to resolve complex issues rapidly in an environment of fair play and equal participation.
Rapid Reverse Design Planning
Create a clear, relatable vision your stakeholders can rally around—without an endless string of meetings.
What Is Rapid Reverse Design Planning?
RRDP is a visual planning process that combines elements from Compression Planning® and Amazon’s Reverse Design methodology. It helps people use collaborative time well, make better decisions faster, and move in the same direction with new ideas and energy.
In-Person/Virtual/Hybrid
RRDP is designed for in-person and virtual delivery using visual storyboarding in either format. Virtual sessions are built for the digital experience using Zoom® and Padlet® rather than recreating an in-person meeting online.
The storyboards can feed directly into many project-management systems, making the action plan easier to implement.
Planning or Just Another Meeting?
What is the difference between rapid planning and running efficient meetings?
Six Key Elements of RRDP
A disciplined sequence turns collaborative energy into a clear, owned action plan.

Master Planning Mode
SynED facilitators design a timed session around your issues so the team stays on track and leaves with written action and communication plans.

Clarity and Team
Facilitators help define the desired outcome and identify the right stakeholders for the planning process.

Time Travel
The team imagines a successful future outcome and writes the benefits and effects into a future-solution press release.

Tactical Planning
The session explores every element needed for implementation and produces action and communication plans with assigned responsibilities.

Session Rules
Facilitators enforce a strict set of Exploring and Focusing Guidelines that preserve fair play and equal participation.

Storyboard System
A visual approach improves idea capture and assimilation while building flexibility, speed, creativity, focus, and buy-in.
