Personnel Supply Chain Model
SynED’s program develops a mature, self-sustaining training and placement model through intermediary organizations—accelerating progression from aptitude and attitude to job placement.
Personnel Supply Chain Management
A flexible, continuous training and placement approach can substantially increase the flow of professionals into technology-influenced careers.
Program Approach
SynED acts as a design specialist, working with your organization to create an internal consulting group or partnership with an external Managed Service Provider or staffing agency. We help identify colleges, universities, private bootcamps, and other sources of quality candidates; select education and training resources; and locate alternative local, state, federal, and nongovernmental funding.
Your Role
Success requires a program that satisfies both your objectives and those of your customers. The model is intended to become a sustainable and profitable part of your business, helping expand your customer base and support customers that cannot maintain dedicated full-time professionals.
Organizations can engage at many levels. Becoming the intermediary offers the greatest potential but also requires the ability to manage and grow a broad mix of internal and third-party resources.
Two Structural Options
The model can operate inside one organization or across a coordinated partner network. In either structure, responsibilities for assessment, training, placement, consulting, and alternative funding must be explicit so candidates move through one coherent personnel supply chain.
Under One Roof
✓ Placement agency and consulting services operate under one organization.
✓ A pre-screening bootcamp is part of the interview and assessment process.
✓ The parent organization routes candidates to consulting or placement groups.
✓ The parent organization manages training for consulting and placement groups.
✓ The parent organization manages alternative funding requirements.
Collaborative Network
✓ Placement, consulting, and funding organizations agree on specific responsibilities.
✓ Placement and consulting partners jointly operate pre-screening bootcamps.
✓ Training can be jointly managed or assigned to the consulting organization.
✓ Alternative-funding support is assigned to an experienced organization.
Structural Flow
Select a numbered stage to explore how candidates progress through the personnel supply chain.

1.FEED
Future employees can be students graduating from high school, college, universities, apprentices, veterans, or members of the public. Ideally, these individuals are receiving training or have a background or demonstrated aptitude in IT and cybersecurity.
2.Pre-program Bootcamp & Assessment
Pre-screening talent for aptitude, attitude, and level of proficiency is key for routing candidates to appropriate programs. Bootcamp-style programs combined with psychological screening help determine high-success-probability paths for each candidate and identify people who would be better served by alternative options.
3.Consulting Group & Placement Services
Trained and assessed candidates can be employed by the organization’s Managed Service Provider or consulting group, or placed directly into a client business according to their proficiencies and capabilities.
4.Training Resources
Internal consulting-group employees are continually trained and prepared for placement or progression. Customers may also use these training services to support employee development and work-based learning programs.
5.Optional Offset Funds
State and federal funds can offset work-based learning, employee training, and apprenticeship costs. Identifying and applying for these resources can support programs until they become self-sustaining.
6.Employment
Participating organizations can provide a full array of IT and cybersecurity services, from needs analysis and compliance assessment through ongoing support and placement of full-time professionals.
